Kitchen Plumbing in Plano & DFW

Kitchen plumbing problems hit you at the worst times. A leaking sink, clogged drain, or broken disposal puts the whole kitchen out of commission. We fix it the same visit — written flat-rate quote before we start.

Common Kitchen Plumbing Problems

Slow or clogged kitchen drains (grease buildup is the main culprit). Leaks under the sink — from the P-trap, supply lines, or the disposal flange. A garbage disposal that hums but won’t spin, leaks at the bottom, or trips the reset button repeatedly. Dishwasher drain or supply line issues. Faucets that drip or have lost flow. These are all same-visit fixes.

Kitchen Remodels and New Appliances

Adding an island sink, moving the sink as part of a kitchen remodel, or hooking up a new refrigerator ice line or gas range? We rough in new supply and drain lines, extend gas lines to appliances, and ensure everything is permitted and up to code.

Grease Is Your Drain’s Worst Enemy

Grease poured down the kitchen drain hardens into a sticky solid as it cools. Over time it narrows the pipe and eventually blocks it. Never pour grease down any drain — collect it in a container and dispose of it in the trash. If it’s already happening, we clear it.

Kitchen Plumbing in Plano & DFW — Common Questions

Straight answers before you call.

My kitchen sink is draining slowly. What should I do?

Don't pour chemical drain cleaner in it — it can damage pipes and rarely dissolves grease completely. We use a drain snake or hydro jetting to clear kitchen drain lines cleanly. It's a same-visit fix in most cases.

My garbage disposal hums but doesn't spin. Is it broken?

Not necessarily. It may be jammed. Try the reset button on the bottom of the unit and use the hex wrench in the center slot to manually free the plate. If it's still not working after that, the motor may be burned out and replacement is needed.

Can you move my kitchen sink as part of a remodel?

Yes. Moving a sink requires rerouting drain and supply lines and often moving the vent stack. It's a permitted job in most municipalities. We coordinate with your general contractor on the rough-in timing.

Can grease really clog a drain that badly?

Yes. Grease accumulates on pipe walls with each use and eventually builds up to a solid blockage. It's the most common cause of kitchen drain clogs. Hydro jetting clears it thoroughly and cleans the pipe walls.

Is it worth repairing an old garbage disposal?

Depends on the issue. A jammed disposal or leaking flange can usually be repaired. An aging disposal with a failing motor is often replaced — they typically last 8–12 years. We'll tell you which is the better call.
