When Does a Sewer Line Need Full Replacement?
Repair makes sense when damage is isolated. Replacement makes sense when the camera shows widespread deterioration — multiple offset joints, a long collapsed run, severe root invasion along most of the line, or Orangeburg pipe that’s crumbling from the inside. If you’re spending money on the same line every 1–2 years, replacement is often cheaper long-term.
What the Process Looks Like
We camera the full line from cleanout to the city main. We mark the route, get any required permits, excavate to the old pipe, remove it section by section, and install new schedule-40 PVC. Final camera inspection before we backfill. We take care of city inspections if required.
How Long It Lasts
PVC sewer lines, properly installed, last 50+ years. After replacement, recurring backups and repairs are behind you. We warrant all labor 2 years.
